Ashton Jeanty’s girlfriend has clapped back at Travis Hunter following his comments on their competition for this season’s Heisman Trophy.

The Colorado and Boise State stars are the top favorites for said accolade, having staked their claims. But Hunter feels like his shouldn’t even be in question, given that he plays on both sides of the ball, claiming good running backs are a dime a dozen while no one can do what he’s been doing.

“I don’t know who is all there. You all see Ashton Jeanty, but it is not like we haven’t seen a good running back that is good. We haven’t seen a player that has played both ways, and I’m going to keep saying that,” the CU star told Robert Griffin on the latter’s podcast earlier this month.

“(Jeanty) has I think 95 carries for 1,000 yards. If I had 95 catches, how much yards you think I’d have? If I had 95 targets on defense what you think I’d have? If I had 95 catches on offense, what do you think I’d have?” he added.

“I try to tell you, he’s got double the touches I’ve got on the offensive side of the ball and I still have defensive stats…that’s still crazy…and we’re only in Week 6, So, I’m not gonna argue about it.”

Jeanty has since responded to Hunter’s comments, having taken the high road.

“Kudos to Travis, he’s balling for real. He’s doing some stuff we ain’t ever seen nobody do. Personally, I don’t take no offense to it. He’s just speaking his opinion, everybody’s got an opinion,” he told YouTuber Deestroying.

Ashton Jeanty’s GF Gets Involved

Ashton Jeanty’s girlfriend, Gabrielle Miller, wasn’t as forgiving. She took to Instagram after her bf posted a photo slide captioned, “You can’t kill the boogeyman🫣 #hei2man,” commenting, “ik the a gap hate to see you coming.”

Though not specific, the comment is believed to be a shot at Hunter.

With plenty of football left to play, there’s plenty of time for the college stars to continue to make their respective Heisman cases.

Let’s see which way it goes.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark was named WNBA Rookie of the Year on Thursday, the league announced.

Clark overwhelmingly beat out Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese in a poll of 67 sportswriters and broadcasters.

The 22-year-old Clark saw her rookie campaign come to an end after the Fver were swept out of the playoffs by the Connecticut Sun.

A week after the postseason exit, Clark posted a message on Instagram to thank her fanbase.

“Year one,” the NCAA all-time leading scorer wrote along with a green tick emoji.

“Thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream.
