Cardi B Defends Vybz Kartel After Comments About His Physical Appearance

Although Vybz Kartel‘s new freedom has been a source of many people’s happiness, he’s become the subject of some insensitive jokes about his appearance. Cardi B recently stepped up to defend the dancehall legend after catching wind of the matter.

“I do not play about f**king Vybz Kartel,” the Bronx rapper said in a recent X Spaces. “When I see y’all f**king Americans… No offense, no offense. I mean, I’m American, but when I see y’all talking about f**king Vybz Kartel, I be getting upset ’cause, like, not too much. Not too f**king much. Mind your f**king business. I do not play about f**king Vybz Kartel, bi**h. At all. At all. I do not, I do not, I do not.”

Kartel, who’s been battling Graves’ disease, recently shared photos of himself. The image featured his discolored skin, a common symptom of the autoimmune disease. Fans suggested that the “Fever” artist was bleaching his skin despite the fact his condition has been publicized for over a year. Thus, the “On Dat Money” artist felt the need to step up for him. Cardi B has been standing up to bullies throughout August. Earlier this month, she was caught on camera threatening to fight a woman in New York City. An eyewitness told The New York Post that people gathered outside of an apartment building to take pictures. One of the tenants came out and started yelling at them to leave the premises and even kicked a parked Tesla Cybertruck.

Cardi witnessed this and yelled at the woman from the black SUV she was sitting in. “I’m recording you bi**h, I’ll f**k you up for real,” the Invasion Of Privacy rapper stated. Fan pages began to pick up the story, and some people attempted to make it seem like the altercation occurred after her divorce announcement. However, the Grammy winner provided calendar evidence that proved that false.

“[Bi**hes trying to be funny and make this something it’s not but I don’t care,” she wrote. “I don’t like when people think they can bully people for no reason.. like how you gonna do all that yelling, hit their car, AND call the cops all because they taking pictures in front of a building?!”
