Donna Kelce, mother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, is remaining tight-lipped about her son’s potential engagement to pop sensation Taylor Swift.
In a recent interview with Page Six, Donna shared her uncertainty regarding whether Travis would pop the question during the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City, where he will be honored.
“Nobody knows that,” she said coyly.
“We will see what happens. You never know.”
At 71, Donna believes her sons, including Travis and his older brother Jason, are capable of managing their own relationships without parental advice.
“I don’t give my kids advice. They have everything all settled. They’re far more able to make those decisions on their own,” she stated confidently.
Celebrating the role of a proud mother
Recently, Donna was in the spotlight herself, attending the Glamour Women of the Year Awards. She walked the red carpet and was featured on the magazine’s 2024 cover alongside other influential celebrity mothers like Tina Knowles and Mandy Teefey. Her recognition emphasizes the strength of family support in both her sons’ careers and personal lives.
Although Donna claims not to know the details about Travis and Swift‘s relationship, she has previously expressed her approval of the couple. At the NYC premiere of “Grotesquerie,” in which Travis had a small role, she discussed his personality.
“He’s a good guy. He really is. He’s good. He’s kind. He’s generous. And from what I understand, so is she.” Over the past year, Donna has spent considerable time with Swift, often seen cheering for Travis at various NFL games.
Since making their relationship public in September 2023, when Swift attended a game against the Chicago Bears, she has become a regular fixture in the stands. Meanwhile, Travis has shown his support for Swift during her record-breaking Eras Tour. Insider reports suggest that an engagement might be imminent, especially after Travis reportedly sought and received permission from Swift‘s father, Scott, who gave his blessing “wholeheartedly.” As the Kelce family remains in the spotlight, fans are left eagerly anticipating what lies ahead for this high-profile couple.
