Gordon Ramsay Reveals How Much He Gives Kids in Allowance — and How He Entices Them to Save

Gordon Ramsay is opening up about how he helps to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in his six kids.

In an exclusive clip from the show Last Meals shared with PEOPLE, Ramsay chats with host Josh Scherer about his kids, and shares how much gives them in allowance. The celebrity chef is dad to six kids — Megan, 25, twins Holly and Jack, 24, Matilda, 22, Oscar, 4, and Jesse, 7 weeks — whom he shares with wife Tana.

“Every time they got their allowance, every month, a couple hundred dollars, if they save that up across the 12 month period, I would match that at Christmas for them,” Ramsay says.

“They got to stay true to their form by saving every dollar. and so when you start that practice, at sort of 10, 11, 12, 13, they got their part-time jobs, all of a sudden their minds are focused about their career paths. And so yeah, that was the opposite way that I grew up. They are super disciplined and they are on it man.”

Earlier this winter, Ramsay was pictured cuddling his youngest two children in a snap shared by his wife Tana.

“Daddy has arrived home now Christmas can really begin x @gordongram we love you x,” Tana’s caption read as the chef cradled Jesse and Oscar.

The trio appeared to be in good spirits as Jesse rested peacefully in his dad’s arms, while Oscar and Gordon smiled into the camera.

In November, Ramsay announced that he’d welcomed his sixth baby with Tana, sharing the exciting news on Instagram.

“What an amazing birthday present please welcome Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz whopper,” the Kitchen Nightmares host, who celebrated his birthday on Wednesday, wrote in his caption. “One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls…. Done 👊🏼❤️❤️.”

In the images shared, Ramsay could be seen giving the little one a kiss on the head as Tana held him. He also shared a couple of pics of Tana excitedly smiling next to baby Jesse.
