Gwen Stefani has blown fans away with her ‘unrecognizable’ appearance in a recent interview.
You likely know Stefani from her big hits of the early 00s, like ‘The Sweet Escape,’ ‘Hollaback Girl,’ and ‘Rich Girl.’
Following her major musical success, the 54-year-old expanded her horizons and became a regular fixture in the world of entertainment.
The former No Doubt frontwoman has since become a judge on the music TV series The Voice and has launched the makeup brand, GXVE Beauty.
And on top of all of this, there’s another major reason why Stefani remains in the public eye.
For decades, the ‘Just a Girl’ singer has been in the spotlight, but she just doesn’t seem to age!
Stefani has previously shared the secrets behind her youthful good looks.
In an interview with LVR magazine, she claims that staying hydrated ‘helps give your skin a youthful, moist glow.’
Clever makeup application also plays a role.
“When you overdraw the top lip like that, you just get this really pouty [look],” Stefani told Glamour. “You see people hacking it all the time and it works.”
She also prioritizes skincare, telling Forbes: “At bedtime, I always take off my makeup and put moisturizer on.”
While in an interview with Shape, the pop star said: “I have no magic thing that I do to stay fit. I eat really clean, do my shows, and work out.”
However, in recent months, the cracks in Stefani’s perfect facade may have just about started to show.
The ‘What You Waiting For?’ artist made an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers and people were absolutely stunned by her looks – for all the wrong reasons.
It looks as though Stefani has a brand-new face, and not everyone is a fan.
“Unrecognizable,” someone commented.
While another added: “I am so sorry to say this, but I did not recognize her. Please, Gwen, STOP!”
A third commented: “I didn’t even notice who she was. I was like no that’s not her and I looked up recent videos of her. Yeah… That’s really Gwen. Please stop. No more surgeries.”
While another drew an unflattering comparison to Donatella Versace!
“I’m a lifelong fan of Gwen’s and I didn’t recognize her. I’m so confused,” agreed someone else.
While another joked: “Could have given me 100 guesses who that was from the thumbnail alone and I’d have never guessed Gwen Stefani…”
Another accuses: “Yeah the lip fillers have changed her looks a lot. She has naturally thin lips and always made them look gorgeous – sucks that she felt the need to change them.”
While a further fan agrees: “People don’t realize how much filler can alter your face.”
Previously, Gwen has spoken out about her apparent agelessness.
In a segment of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, she was asked about how she looks quite so youthful at 54 years of age.
Stefani explained: “What happened was my life blew up and after that, I kind of started falling in love. Then I wrote a whole record about that.
“That’s like what the facelift is, I think.”
But when she was interviewed by Seth Meyers to promote her makeup line, all of the audience’s attention was focused elsewhere.
Stefani was looking remarkably different from usual, prompting many to question what exactly was going on.
Stefani has also previously discussed what she believes is ageism in the entertainment industry.
She spoke to Hello! Magazine in 2021 about her comeback to the music scene.
“At the beginning of this process, I felt like I had to make excuses for why I wanted to make new music. I felt like people were going to judge me and be like, ‘Well, you’re like super old. Why would you even want to?’” she said.
“This is just how my brain works. Anyone would, you know what I mean? Everybody has their own fears or insecurities.”
