Jason Kelce REVEALS That Travis Only Plays Well When There’s Someone In The Stadium Who Means A Lot To Him… And It’s Not Taylor Swift!

Jason Kelce reveals that Travis only plays well when there's someone in the stadium who means a lot to him... and it's not Taylor Swift!

Jason Kelce humorously claimed he’s the reason why Travis Kelce performed so well against the New Orleans Saints, not Taylor Swift, as the Kansas City Chiefs‘ tight end had his second best performance of the 2024/25 NFL season yet.

The 35-year-old triple Super Bowl champion made nine receptions for 70 yards at the Arrowhead Stadium on October 7 as he and his team won 26-13 to maintain their 100% winning start to the campaign.

And he did so with Swift, his girlfriend, watching on from the VIP boxes as she found herself completely immersed in the game yet Jason claims she isn’t actually his recipe to success in the latest episode of their podcast.

“We all know Travis came up big because he had someone special in the stadium,” Jason said to New Heights. “Someone that means a lot to him.

“And he really tries to always perform well when they’re there… and that is me!”

Travis has always enjoyed the close support of his family through his parents, Ed and Donna, as well as his older brother who actually rescued his NFL career before it even began when he petitioned to overturn a 12-month long suspension.

Jason’s effort was successful and Travis earned a second shot at becoming a professional football player, and he hasn’t wasted it by going on to make 931 receptions for 11,556 yards and 74 touchdowns since his 2016 debut.

His relationship on the field with Patrick Mahomes has allowed the pair to forge a formidable connection that rival defenses struggle to shut down, a big part of why they won the Super Bowl in 2019, 2022 and 2023 and why they are favorites to do so once again in 2024.

Who do the Chiefs play next?

The Kansas City Chiefs have their bye in Week 6 meaning they will not be playing any games, which is good news as they look to get their running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, back up to fitness.

They will next take to the field on October 20 at the Levi’s Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of Super Bowl LVIII, with the game kicking off at 18:25 ET/21:25 PT live on FOX Sports.
