A new WNBA franchise could be coming soon to Kansas City — thanks to Patrick and Brittany Mahomes!

The Chiefs quarterback and his wife — along with their fellow co-owners of the KC Current, Chris and Angie Long — have met with WNBA officials about the possibility of bringing another women’s pro franchise to the area, according to ESPN.

The WNBA is expanding by three teams over the next two years, and is eying a fourth, which could be in Kansas City, by 2028, the outlet reported.

A new team would join the Mahomes’ ownership portfolio that also includes the Kansas City Royals, Sporting KC and the Alpine Formula One team.

The Golden State Valkyries are the next new WNBA set to debut in 2025, followed by franchises in Toronto and Portland in 2026, according to Sports Illustrated.

Earlier this year, the pregnant mother of two shared a message of support for WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark, after the rookie was fouled hard by another player during a game in June.

“@caitlinclark22 keep doing your thing!!” Brittany wrote in her message to the athlete. “You’re a baller and it’s incredible to see what you’re doing for the game and women’s sports!!”

In September, the couple was seen cheering on their soccer team when they played the Utah Royals in Kansas City.

“Let’s gooooo!” the soon-to-be mom of three wrote in her Instagram Stories.

In the photo, the couple rocked red Current t-shirts, with Brittany also throwing on a hoodie with the team’s name. They wore matching KC caps in the team’s colors of light blue, red and white.

The team’s Instagram account also shared the photo on their feed, writing, “Thanks for the support bosses 🫶.”
