New Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins sent social media into a frenzy by comparing himself and Patrick Mahomes to the legendary Tom Brady-Randy Moss tandem on social media.
DeAndre Hopkins enjoyed his breakout game as a Kansas City Chief in Monday night’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, racking up eight receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-24 overtime victory.
Two weeks ago, Kansas City acquired the perennial Pro Bowler from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a mid-round pick. And it took just two games for “Nuk” to form superstar chemistry with Mahomes.
On Tuesday afternoon, DeAndre Hopkins took to X/Twitter to share a photo of Moss and Brady from their time together in New England. Presumably, Hopkins was comparing himself and Mahomes to the two Patriots icons.

As you would have guessed, social media had mixed reactions to DeAndre Hopkins’ post. Here are some of the best ones:
Moss came over to the Patriots in a 2007 trade with the Oakland Raiders. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Brady set the single-season record for touchdown passes (2007), though Peyton Manning broke that feat in 2013 (55). Moss recorded 23 touchdown receptions, also a single-season record. The Patriots went 16-0 in the regular season and reached Super Bowl 42, but their bid for a perfect season ended at the hands of the New York Giants.
DeAndre Hopkins obviously won’t come close to putting up 2007 Moss-like numbers. But if he continues to perform in Kansas City like he did last year, Andy Reid and company will have every reason to re-sign the pending free agent.
DeAndre Hopkins Makes The Chiefs Even More Dangerous In Three-Peat Bid
Monday night was unquestionably the Chiefs’ best offensive performance of the season. The passing game struggled with consistency after losing Rashee Rice for the year with a knee injury, but the unit got back on track with Hopkins’ tremendous outing.
And if he keeps this up, the Chiefs will be that much harder to stop in their three-peat bid.
