All-Pro TE celebrated birthday with his annual charity event

Seemingly any time Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is spotted without his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift, speculation starts spreading like wild fire about the two potentially heading for a breakup.

It was no different when Swift didn’t show up Saturday evening to Kelce’s charity birthday event — the Kelce Car Jam, which raises money for kids in the local community — prompting many to start pitching their breakup theories on social media.

However, Swift’s absence was no big deal for Kelce, who celebrated his 35th birthday, as he knew ahead of time she wouldn’t be there, which was just fine with him because he knew he wouldn’t have to wait much longer to see her again.

“I know she’s coming in for the game,” Kelce said, via Page Six.

Swift’s presence at the Chiefs’ Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints will mark her first appearance at one of Kelce’s games since a Week 2 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 14-time Grammy winner skipped the Chiefs’ Week 3 and 4 road matchups with the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers, respectively, because she was reportedly rehearsing and preparing to start touring again later this month.

Photos of Kelce looking dejected on the sidelines went viral over the last two weeks as many had started to question if his relationship with Swift was starting to negatively affect him on the field.

However, the All-Pro tight end had his best performance of the season in last week’s 17-10 win over the Chargers, hauling in seven receptions on nine targets for 89 yards — all of which are season highs.
