After many trade rumors surrounding Davante Adams, the wide receiver was finally dealt to the New York Jets to reunite with former teammate Aaron Rodgers.

Of course, when a player of his caliber is believed to be on the trade block, many teams will call to check in and make offers.

One team rumored to be in the mix was the Kansas City Chiefs after suffering big losses like Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown to season-ending injuries.

Kay Adams then asked him if the Chiefs were in the mix. Davante quickly responded, “Negative”

Of course, they likely would have needed to offer a package much better than the Jets for the Raiders to even consider giving up one of their best players to a division rival.

The Raiders certainly aren’t in the position to be handing the Chiefs such an amazing upper hand that would immediately solidify their chances of making the Super Bowl.

Davante Adams Has Seemingly Healed From Previous Injury

With the Raiders, Adams had been dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined him for multiple weeks.

However, after getting tarded to New York, the injury has seemingly been healed as he is set to make his debut for his new team Sunday night against the Steelers, according to Adam Schefter.

The Jets need it, too, after getting off to a rough 2-4 start and being third in the AFC East. A complete turnaround will be needed if the Jets want to even consider making a playoff push.
