Following the completion of the trade between the New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to New York in exchange for a package that included Julius Randle, his wife had a lot to say when she took to her TikTok account.

Last Friday night’s trade saw the Knicks send Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, DaQuan Jeffries, and a first-round draft pick to the Timberwolves in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns.

On her Instagram stories, Kendra Randle first re-shared a post by ESPN’s NBA account that had a picture of her husband Photoshopped into a Timberwolves jersey with the caption, “Minnesota could be looking scary next season.”

She added five eye-heart emojis.

Days later, Kendra explained that the family was ready to leave New York anyway.

“When we heard Minnesota, it was pretty shocking,” she said. “Although we were so ready to leave New York, living in a condo with two kids is so hard.”

Kendra went on to clarify that the Randle family was already considering moving out of New York City for a lifestyle change.

“It was a great experience, but we were already looking to move outside of the city,” she explained. “It was just getting so hard and overwhelming for us because my husband’s from Texas, and I’m from Kentucky, and that’s just not how we grew up.”

Julius Randle underwent season-ending shoulder surgery right before the playoffs but was expected to be ready for this upcoming season.

He is entering his 11th season in the NBA.

Julius Randle Is Now Going To A Team That Was One Round From The NBA Finals

Julius Randle may not be happy to leave New York, but he is not being sent to a terrible team.

The New York Knicks were one of the best stories of the 2023-24 NBA season, but they eventually lost in the second round.

On the other hand, the team just sent their leader to the Minnesota Timberwolves, who swept the Phoenix Suns in the first round and then shocked everyone when they defeated the Denver Nuggets in seven games in the second round.

The Dallas Mavericks stopped their run when they got eliminated in five games, but the team got the furthest they’ve been since the 2003-2004 season.

Last season, Julius Randle averaged 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, per his stats on ESPN.

If he can mesh well with Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert, this team will be dangerous in the Western Conference.
